Your goals should always exceed your current capabilities
Big goals often seem impossible until we begin moving toward them. People often set goals that can be achieved with their current abilities, but real growth begins when we push beyond our limits and challenge ourselves to pursue something greater than what we currently believe we are capable of.

This process can be compared to one of the most important pieces in chess — the pawn. At first, the pawn is one of the weakest and most limited pieces on the board. It moves only one square forward, has little flexibility, and can easily go unnoticed at the beginning of the game. Yet, when guided forward with the right strategy and brought to the other end of the board, the pawn is transformed and can become the most powerful piece — the queen.
The same is true of our goals. When they exceed our current capabilities, they push us to deepen our knowledge, strengthen our skills, and change the way we play the game. At first, the challenge may seem overwhelming, but by moving forward step by step, you can reach heights you once could not even imagine.
If a goal is limited to what you can already achieve, it may not be ambitious enough to inspire real growth. Big goals challenge us to evolve, find new ways forward, overcome obstacles, and ultimately achieve more than we initially thought possible.
So, never be afraid to set goals that exceed your current capabilities — sometimes, it is the journey toward them that transforms you into the person capable of achieving them.
